Sue admits to being a ‘big kid’ herself and likes nothing more than walking in the rain and splashing in puddles (if no one is looking). The inspiration for most of her writing come from spending time in the North York Moors. The region where both her 'And Other Tales' short stories and the ‘And Jake Makes Three’ series of books are set. Sue is passionate about animal welfare and conservation to protect natural habitats. Her writing is compared to best selling author's such as Enid Blyton and Jeffrey Archer to name a few.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Chapter One
The tranquil sea twinkled mischievously in the early spring sunshine, as if setting an amusing trap for the visitors of Whitby. It was as if the sea was saying; Come and bathe in my crystal blue waters. Just look how inviting they are.
However, until the summer sun had warmed the waves, the North Sea would feel icy cold, and would try to freeze any bare toes that would have been tempted by its dazzling brightness.
The sea was azure blue, mirrored by the cloudless sky above. Both sky and sea provided a bright backdrop for the lively seaside town of Whitby, which sat on the edge of the North York Moors.
