    If you are weary of the life battles raging against your destiny and you desire to take control of your life, this book is very informative, educative and dedicated to helping you. “The Image of God In You” was inspired by the word of God combined with proven wisdom and revelations.
    It is written in Luke 11:34-36 that the lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.
    Many people have let the light in them become darkness due to the information they imbibed, the knowledge they gained, the event they participated, and the identity they accepted, hence, destinies are truncated and purposes are wasted.
    This book is cut out in a simple, practical and thought provoking manner to inspire and challenge our young people, fathers, mothers, and leaders to take heed of the image of God in them so that their body will be full of light.
    The reason for the overwhelming negativism in the world is that the world has lost track of the light, and so people’s knowledge, reasoning, and understanding are full of darkness. Now, there is a great gulf between the world and the image of God because light and darkness have nothing in common.
    Pastor Joe Wright stated in his prayer that we have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have ridiculed the absolute truth of God’s word and called it pluralism. We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism. We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle. We have exploited the poor and called it lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have embezzled public funds and called it essential expenses. We have institutionalized bribery and called it sweets of office. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
    These and much more expressed by Pastor Joe depict how much we have suppressed the truth and ridiculed the image of God in us. We have protected lies and called them traditions. We have twisted the gospel and called it doctrines. We have believed in falsehoods superstitiously and called it culture. We have allowed the glory of our values fade away and called it modernization.
    Barack Obama, the first black man to be sworn in as the American President, the 44th President of the United States of America stated in His farewell speech to Americans that “we must guard against a weakening of our values”.
    There have been many motivations from others similar to Barack Obama’s farewell speech but there is no way we could recover the truth and preserve our values except we restore the image of God in us as the lamp of our body. The world is being defeated by darkness because we all have compromised and betrayed the image of God in us for so long.
    “The Image of God in You” is specifically written to proffer a lasting solution to negativism, loss of identity, loss of purpose, diverted talents and gifts, and unrealized potentials. There will be great reflections from your soul as when the bright shining of the lamp gives you light when you transcend the image of God in you.
