      Father, I thank You for loving me and rescuing me. I thank You for meeting with me and the gifts You have shared with me.

      I would like to thank the many people who have been there for me during my journey. Psalm 118:7 says that "He is among those who help me." Thank you so very much for the help I have received along the way.

      Give thanks. I give thanks for what the Lord has done in my life. Where I have been broken, I have been made whole. May what I have gained through my experiences be multiplied to those who receive and may they also be filled with the Bread of Life and Living Water: our Lord Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah.

      PREFACE

      During my quiet times with the Lord, I hear from Him in different ways. I may get a single word, which I will then look up in the dictionary and find references for in the Bible. At other times I will hear a word or a phrase, and then—as I write it down—more words will flow, coming as poetry. Sometimes I will hear a scripture reference or be directed to a specific location in the Bible to read. I began to see that there were themes emerging. I have grouped them together here to express the fellowship I have with the Father, his Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, to encourage you to encounter Him.

      "…so that you too, may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ." (1 John 1:3)

      As the Prophet Jeremiah says, The Word of the Lord that came to me, I would like to convey the words that have come to me, with the hope of encouraging you to know the Living God. I write these things that your joy may be made full.

      INTRODUCTION

      I want to introduce you to a really good friend of mine, Jesus or Yeshua, the Messiah and The Holy Spirit.

      Through my journey, I have encountered the Presence of God and have come to know Him. I first met him as Jesus, but have come to know Him as Yeshua, the Messiah.

      There were turning points in my life where I went from knowing about God to knowing Him. He says that when you search for Him with all your heart, you will find Him. I hadn’t always put my whole heart into seeking God. It takes a decision and effort to grow a relationship with Him, like any other relationship. There are different ways of communicating and getting to know each other. One of these is sitting still and listening for His Voice.

      One of my first encounters with God was at summer camp. The camp counsellor had us go find a quiet place and wait until we heard from God. Well, I may not remember now exactly what I heard Him say, but I do know that I came away from that experience knowing that He was real. The camp counsellor had me say a prayer with her asking Jesus into my heart. I experienced a definite change from this point forward. I earnestly read the copy of The Good News Bible that she had given me for the remainder of that summer. I did not keep up my relationship with Him, however.
