Prologue
One of the saddest and distressing experiences we can have is to see our best furry friend suffering or sick. We can at least say what hurts, but they can’t.
10 years ago, an important woman in my life gave me the sad news that the doctor found a malignant tumor in her breast. This experience led me down the road of research and practical development of Medical Marijuana.
She was the first person to try my experiments with cannabis in the kitchen. Today, a decade later, my skills have significantly improved in preparing food, tinctures, tonics, and extracts with medicinal doses of cannabis. I have helped and witnessed how cannabis improves the health of people and animals from pain caused by arthritis, emotional and mental respite for the treatment of anxiety and depression, conquering insomnia, the indescribable relief it has given cancer patients, and more.
A few years ago I learned that not only humans have an Endocannabinoid System (a group of neuromodulator lipids and their receptors that are involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, pain sensation, mood and memory [...] are substances similar to cannabis, but naturally produced by the body), but most living creatures on the planet also have it, from shellfish in the sea to the dog or cat that is currently lying at your feet or on your lap.
