About this ebook
It is easy to forget that you have a heart; most people are only going to have one in their lifetime. It sits there day and night beating away pumping blood to all parts of your body, never getting a rest.
In its work, it takes blood deplete of oxygen and circulates through the heart to the lungs, where it picks up oxygen, and then back to the heart. This refreshed blood goes back out to the body to supply your cells with all the oxygen and nutrients they need.
Sadly, in many people this process can be interrupted if they have heart problems – and most of them can be prevented or even reduced by making changes in their health habits (lifestyle).
There are many ways that you can help your heart to be healthier. The most important things are diet and exercise. But even beyond that you need to make sure that you keep your stress levels low, get plenty of sleep, and keep harmful substances such as tobacco and illicit drugs away from your body.
Your heart is a very complicated organ, but taking care of it can be very simple. Not doing so can be deadly!
In my book "Cardiovascular Health And You?" we discuss common heart problems, their causes and how you can help prevent or reverse their effects (before it is too late!).

Introduction
In the United States, one of the leading causes of death is heart disease. Heart disease should not be taken lightly though, since it is considered the top killer for both men and women in many countries around the word, especially in America. According to its definition, heart disease is a medical condition in which the heart and the blood vessels are affected. This term also refers to a number of diseases that affect the heart including:
arterial fibrillation
heart attack
coronary artery disease
heart valve disease
Getting diagnosed for it is indeed quite alarming, but catching it early can minimize or even reverse the effects of the disease. Better yet is preventing it in the first place through a healthy lifestyle.
Heart disease is prevalent in lots of developed countries and many experts attribute it to certain environmental factors. The good news about this type of disease is that, it can be prevented by following certain healthy living practices.
Although heart disease is indeed one of the top causes for untimely deaths in America, a person diagnosed with it should not consider it as a death sentence. There are actually lots of cases when a heart disease can still be treated or reversed, as long as proper steps are taken, and the person involved is disciplined and persistent enough in achieving their goals.
Preventing heart disease can be done in a lot of ways,
