About this ebook
What kind of idiot opens and runs a riding school when they are scared of horses, can't ride, with no capital, no insurance and half the horses are not fit for the knacker's yard? The author is that idiot and in the first part of this short novella Lucinda E Clarke explains how it all came about and how she finds herself the reluctant proprietor of a riding school in the wilds of Africa.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely worth every second spent reading this book feverishly. It's such a relief being made aware of other individuals in this crazy world, whom seem to have the most outrageous daily life experiences without trying to do anything but the bear minimum of surviving the day. The most I ask for is the ability to relax for more than a five minute time period. This book almost makes me wonder about how my world from early teens to date, would turn out in paper form as a book. Great job and thank you for sharing your story with us. It made my week!!! Can't wait to hear more especially because I'm actually currently in the middle of deciding how to branch off on my own and create a solo riding instructor business lol. So this book hit the spot. :)

The very Worst Riding School in the World - Lucinda E Clarke
Dedication
To all those who love horses and to those who helped and supported me in my quest to run a riding school – you know who you are – even if it never got a write up in Horse and Hound.
Last, but by no means least, to all those readers who’ve done me the honour of buying, reading and reviewing my books, along with my many writer friends who have been more supportive than I could ever have expected. My deepest thanks to each and every one of you.
The story you are about to read is true – just one of the many bizarre things I ‘fell into’ during my somewhat adventurous life.
Who, in their right mind would start a riding school when they didn’t know how to ride, was terrified of horses, had no capital, no insurance and half the stock was at death’s door?
Yes, that would be me. This author did all those things, and when I look back today I shudder at the chances I took.

THE VERY WORST RIDING SCHOOL IN THE WORLD
In the 21st century people strive to do their best. They win awards, they boast about their high-flying well-paid jobs, their rug-rat’s accomplishments at school and they show off by driving expensive, fancy cars and live in beautiful homes in the best areas.
That said, shouldn’t I be boasting about my wonderful riding school and how well it did? Sadly, I can’t.
It really was the worst riding school in the world, using broken-down nags the knacker’s yard would have rejected, and run with no capital reserves whatsoever, under the most appalling conditions by a totally unqualified owner who didn’t even think to take out insurance.
How did I get myself into this predicament? Maybe I should start at the beginning.
Opening a riding school was only one of the things I ‘fell into’ in life – later it was writing for radio and then I ‘fell into’ writing for television and after that, ‘fell big time’ into running my own video production company, but that was way into the future and I’ve already written books about that.
