About this ebook
The inspiration for this story comes from Mark Twain’s short and imaginative tale, The War Prayer, written in 1905, and also the 1951 black and white film The Day the Earth Stood Still, which was based on the novel Farewell to the Master written in 1940 by Harry Bates. A Needed Message tells the story of a strongly pro-fossil fuel and climate change-denying candidate for President of the United States who reconsiders his views after witnessing an eerie and temporary shutdown of all fossil fuel production facilities worldwide and then hearing a very compelling message from the Creator.
