About this ebook

Rookie police officer Paul Echols didn’t know, on that cold April night, that twenty-three-year-old college coed Deborah Sheppard’ s unsolved murder would haunt him and lead him on a twenty-five year chase for a serial killer.

Timothy Wayne Krajcir did not fit the criminal psychologist profile of a serial killer. He wasn’t predictable. Krajcir’s victims ranged in age from twenty-one to sixty-five. Some were black. Some were white. Some were alone. Some had children. Some had husbands present during their attacks. Some he robbed. Some he raped. Some he killed.

In Cold Pursuit: My Hunt for Timothy Krajcir - The Notorious Serial Killer is the firsthand account by the man who unraveled the Cold Case” trail of blood and death to bring justice and redemption to the victims and families. Filled with exclusive interviews, never before revealed details and shocking photos, In Cold Pursuit is the riveting true crime story that delves deep into the mind of a serial killer and the man who brought him to justice.

I found this book fascinating. To read a book from the point of view of a young patrol officer becoming intrigued with a homicide. If he hadn't, I doubt this case, and many others would be solved.I have heard a lot off and on about how certain cases irritate an officer so much that in their spare time they tend to become obsessive with wanted to solve a case. In this book we join as he slowly crawls up the ladder in the department until he can tackle the case that always bothered him. How things were put together and solved is quite astounding. I really believe if Lt. Paul Echols hasn't put so much time into tracking things down, many families would not have the closure they now have.It was a VERY good read.
