About this ebook

At 5 Caper Court, the personal and professional interweave in ways as complex as the law; sharp minds and abrasive personalities lie behind deceptively polished facades. Leo Davies, silver-haired QC, captivates both his male and female co-workers. Untouched by his seemingly indiscriminate affairs, he takes his pleasure where he pleases without regard for the devastation he leaves behind. Yet, newly made a father, Leo begins to questions his ephemeral relationships, but when his lifestyle produces sinister results that threaten to extend to his son the question becomes whether it is too late for Leo to change - to stop his life from unravelling even further ...

Acquired via BookCrossing 04 Jul 2009 - in my Unconvention goody bagFifth in the Caper Court series and, while we might be starting to tire of Leo and his exploits, he himself is doing so too. Chay's art gallery is about to open and brings together in the trustees and other interested parties some interesting characters indeed. Leo meets up with an old pupil, Gideon, and they start a tenuous friendship, but at the same time Leo is further tangled with the evil Sarah, and yearning for a more innocent and stable life. Fraser keeps the threads fresh and clear and reminds us whenever we might get lost. I did enjoy this one and wanted to keep reading.Roll on No 6!
