About this ebook
How do we know we are real and not just some character in an elaborate game?
In the virtual world of Saga, Ghost is a fifteen-year-old airboarding anarcho-punk, with no past, no memories, only a growing realisation of her own strange abilities. But who is she really and why is she becoming embroiled in a battle with the warped leader of Saga -- the Dark Queen? How have Erik and Cindella Dragonslayer fared since their adventures in Epic?
And what happens if you dare to reach outside your world, or to question your identity? Is that simply the road to madness, death and destruction?
Praise for Epic, Cindella Dragonslayer's first adventure:

Reviews for Saga
5 ratings6 reviews
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Flawed but interesting read. Fairly predictable novel of a future where human life is contained within a complicated video game. One girl Ghost is an enigma and on her rests the fate of the world.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5In this sequel to Epic, readers will find out what happens to Erik and his friends. They will also meet some new characters along the way.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Sequel to Epic. A secret probe has arrived on New Earth, which excised Epic from their computer system and installed another game, Saga. The people of New Earth are becoming addicted to Saga like a drug. Can Eric and his unusual new friends save two worlds?Saga was quite different from Epic; although it was set in the same universe, it was almost entirely set within Saga and the main characters are NPCs, or characters from the game. It's a good book, I liked it nearly as much as I liked Epic.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5As a sequel to the popular Epic, Saga continues the vein of mixing reality and virtual reality. However, whereas Epic was more in the type of a fun adventure involving dungeons and dragons MMORPG, Saga goes for a turn towards the philosophical and scifi (a la Second Life) as it approaches the idea of what makes a person 'alive' when the reader is confronted with the knowledge that the main characters we've taken for granted as 'real' are in actuality living their lives in a virtual game. Readers will probably be reminded to a certain extent of the movie Matrix or Ghost in the Shell, though no direct references are made. Overall, an enjoyable book that I managed to read in one day (with the help of a snow day), though I found that I enjoyed Epic a bit more due to its fun factor. Also, this book seems to open up the potential for further sequels. Recommended.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Saga is a sentient game, engineered thousands of years ago by humans, and then taken over by the game as it became self-aware. Now, only two beings are left from that time: the Dark Queen, who has come to New Earth and replaced the massive multiplayer game of Epic with Saga, and her last loyal assassin, Michelotto. The Queen is in search of a human willing to reprogram Saga to allow her children to be immortal, and she will do anything to get what she wants, including enslaving two million of New Earth's people. Enter Cindella, the virtual heroine of Epic and avatar of Eric. Cindella is the only piece of Epic that survived, because she won. She is the only one who can enter and leave Saga at will without fear of addiction to the game. And she has found the one rebel group willing to risk everything to overthrow the Queen, even if it means teaming up with Michelotto. In that group is Ghost, a girl who has no memory of anything before she was about ten, and her history is the key to victory. Great story for the gamers, skaters, and snowboarders, as most of the action revolves around airboards and the rebel kids who use them to defy the dictatorial government of the queen. Good sci-fi for grade 7 and up.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5so it bored me and took me forever to read. i only finished reading it cuz the characters ghost and crew were kinda interesting and i wanted to see what happened to them but i dunno something was lacking for me in this one.
