I've had my eye on this for a while, and decided to alleviate my pre-Tough Mudder jitters by buying it 1 month before the event. Luckily, there's a 3 week prep routine in it, and I'm going to give it a shot. This is a good overview of the different kinds of mud runs and obstacle course races, with specific tips on how to get over certain obstacles that you're sure to encounter. I was worried about the monkey bars, and those are missing from this book, but the rope climb and vertical walls are here. I'm doing the intermediate prep routine (3 weeks + 1 week of rest before an event) and feel like it could be harder, but it's definitely working muscles in a way that I'm appreciating.
