About this ebook

The Fenland Knights: a children’s adventure novel set in the Fens. Similar in style to an Enid Blyton novel, but for kids of today. Josh a farmer’s son, Beverley the doctor’s disabled daughter, and two young local lads create a secret society, based on the Knights Templar. They oppose Big Arnie, an American billionaire bully, who intends bulldozing their local National Nature Reserve (SSSI) into a luxury golf complex.

Ben and Tim, the two youngsters, get into scrapes and need rescuing. The ‘Knights’ meet serious setbacks, but using Beverley’s brains, Josh’s brawn, and their smartphones with secret codes, they persevere. When Tim and Ben rescue a little dog - have they stumbled upon an answer? The surprising outcome plunges our four young heroes into a dangerous situation.

Martin Hedley

Martin was born in Cambridge; served as an apprentice in the Merchant Navy, as an NCO in the British Army, and as a Flight Lieutenant in the RAF. Whilst serving with 22 SAS in Hereford he met his wife Sandra. They have two grown-up sons. They now live near the Great Fen Project in Cambridgeshire, where Martin enjoys visiting his local, the lowest pub in the British Isles.
