About this ebook

In April 1994, amid international acclaim, South Africa stepped back from the slough of endemic political violence and danced its first bold dance with constitutional democracy. After the Dance sets out to capture some of the flavour of what has happened since. David Robbins ranges widely across the country, allowing South Africans to speak for themselves within the framework of their individual circumstances. It is a collection of vividly described places and personal stories.

A series of vignettes from different places in South Africa in the time shortly after democracy. Nothing of huge insight, but the book is an entertaining read for someone with a bit of experience with the country.
