    Olayinka G. Oladiran, PH.D., is a Life Coach (IAPCC), member of the International Association of Professional Motivational Speakers (IAPO), the host of “Y” Purpose Show Podcast and owner of Inspire Game Change Co. He spent his growing up years making presentations to audiences ranging from twenty to five thousand people and that was a regular thing to do. Despite having a BEng, MSc and PhD in Civil Engineering, his love for public speaking and inspiration of others to be the best they can be has galvanised a new field for him. Dr. Olayinka now spends time, learning and contributing through life coaching, mentoring, giving talks in schools, at breakfast meetings and at church. His educational credentials speak, but not as loudly as his personal story of struggle, adventure, failure, motivation and realisation of what needed to be done to be truly fulfilled and successful in life. Yinka lives in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom with his wife Julia and their son.

      THE PURPOSE OF THIS BOOK

      Introduction

      In today’s world of accelerated change and upheavals, there’s an abundance of individuals living other people’s lives, but a limitation of those living their own life. People are waking up frustrated and are seeking to find fulfilment, to live free and enjoy life in all its fullness. Living with purpose, passion and determination is fading away… It’s now the norm to endure life rather than enjoy life.

      Have you asked yourself why you want to live a different life? Does your life lack meaning? Are you frustrated about the way your life unveils daily? Are you unhappy with your state of being? Are you giving so much, yet not seeing a way through at work? Have you gone through the educational system but finding it difficult to find a job for your skillset? Are you expecting to be doing better in life? Do you experience no job satisfaction even though you are so highly paid and compensated? You want to make a contribution to people’s lives, but you hardly have time for yourself or your family, and talk less of others. Do you have a lot to offer, but feel trapped and wonder how you can make it in life? You are highly educated and experienced, but are not fulfilled and you’re now losing enthusiasm. Your energy is depleted on what you don’t like doing; do you spend 90% of your day pushing someone else’s dream? Do you wake up daily, thinking about how you are going to get things done today?

      I believe in your heart of hearts that you are passionate about growth and making tangible contributions, not just to your immediate family, but to the world at large.

      The expressions in these stories breathe life into the book. They create a real living substance that provides the reader with a perspective of the determination that a person seeking purpose should have. In addition, it provides the platform for finding this purpose, and living it. The crux of this book is to give the reader permission to discover their true self, embark on the journey of real living, and the sharing of their experiences with others. The stories are constructed for the sole purpose of providing inspiration, generating unshakeable belief in one’s self, connecting to a higher purpose, trusting God if you are a person of faith and, indeed, enjoying all the benefits that discovering your purpose and experiencing real living bring.

      The revolution that takes place when you take that first step, when you engage in consistent action, when you make that decision that it is actually your right to live out your purpose right here and now, sets you apart for greater things. The results of starting this journey has transformed my life in an exceptional way, getting into activities I never imagined myself undertaking. Transformation is visible psychologically, spiritually, emotionally, physically and mentally, and I see personal growth on a daily basis. Go into your future and see yourself there, then return to the present and swing into full action.

      Yes I Found It was born out of inspiration and discovery of who the real Olayinka is. It begins with a rigorous search in my mind, and is illustrated through a conversation that takes place between myself and some mental agents, to aid in the discovery of my talents and abilities, labelled as my acres of diamond. The journey highlights the process of change over a period of time, and underscores the pain, struggles and persistence in my journey to discovering the purpose for my existence.

      I want to share my story with the world: senior citizens, the middle-aged, the young – all races and genders. I have a duty to perform and a journey to complete. It is my desire to help people who struggle to find meaning in life and the purpose for living. I want to take them on my journey of discovery, to educate, inspire, guide, hold, lead, transform and achieve the greatest goals in life. In the same vein, giving them a sense of worth, helping them believe in themselves and in their abilities and talents. Ultimately, I want to help them chase their dreams and visions with zest and passion, irrespective of the obstacles and challenges they may face.

      I finally came to the realisation that, to be free in life, breaking the rules is irrelevant; you just have to start creating rules of your own …

      Today you can make that decision; you can commit to your dreams and visions, you can stand up and act, you can succeed by becoming valuable simply because of the actions you have taken. This is not the time to start contemplating where the path may lead; you can take the calculated and necessary steps and believe that you can make it through, no matter what. You can find your own path, begin your own journey and leave a trail behind. Resist the temptation to feel casual and procrastinate. You don’t want to be that person that said, I wish I started a year ago, I would have gone so much further. Be that person that took the dive, that person that took the jump, that person that went ahead by faith.

      Yes I Found It is to be read through chronologically, to feel the flow and enjoy the sequence. Remember, it’s about the journey, not necessarily the destination, as important as that is.

      Each chapter consists of stories that illustrate how the events in my life have subconsciously contributed to my journey and experiences, directly and indirectly. I believe that they will, in turn, enable you to decide what your next steps would be towards living a fulfilled life. You are special, and your life is worth living, with purpose and passion. The journey you are about to embark upon is unique, because you have been specially created and designed to achieve your highest potential and to realise your ultimate goals. You are the only one who can live ‘you’ and yield the fruits that are unique to just you. Let’s begin here, right now, and I promise you that your life will never remain the same.

      Prologue

      Arise now, your light has come …

      Dawn is here, and you can’t quite figure out which side of the bed you’re in. Your members are still wondering why they are up so early, for all they can hear and feel are the ‘cricketty’ sounds and the whispering, chilly breeze in stealth mode. Your faculty is still recovering from the effects of yesterday’s struggle, while trying to accept the alert message telling you that it’s time to rise and begin.

      However, this is not the time to trade or exchange such conversations. You don’t need permission from your ‘members’ to rise and act. The voice you’ve chosen to listen to is the one that seeks your best interest. It’s one that is always willing to back you at the toughest of times. That’s the voice you need, right about now. So, put your seat belt on and position yourself facing forward, because you have a duty to perform as your journey begins … This is your charge for a game change.

      Daily expectations can be quite overwhelming, especially when your thoughts are littered with important decisions that need to be made. Such as, whether to take a short-cut, or bear the pain and take the rough, long path that leads to your destination – the right one. Trust me, there are many channels branching out right before you, presenting more attractive alternative routes that offer less stress and pain. But, bear in mind, you are set-up for an upward trajectory. Once you have chosen your path, once you’ve made the decision to neglect the simple and easy, what folks call ‘security’, you have taken the first step. Contrary to perceived expectations, things will only get harder. Hence, you need to be absolutely certain that this is what you really want. Why? Because the smoother, broader path will always present itself as the best option available – always ready to pounce … All you have to do now is structure a target point, and focus!

      It’s easier said than done, isn’t it? Listen, every move you make from this point onwards, forms a pattern that links to another. Your motion is set in the right direction, but you can’t linger at one particular point for too long, basking in your achievements. Remember, you
