      We are all fascinated by the history and culture of Ancient Egypt with its legends of strange Gods, magical rites and links to the stars and this is why we have written this new book, to examine these fabulous people and their groundbreaking discoveries.

      However, as we are primarily concerned with the paranormal aspects of their unique society, we shall explore their culture from this intriguing angle. We will add channelled messages from spiritual beings such as the Ascended Masters and Archangels, to add their own particular wisdom to our thoughts. They are wise, loving, understanding and humorous beings and they know well, our human frailties!

      We have channelled them for over thirty years and they have always enriched our lives with their higher wisdom! We hope that you will read this book with an open mind and heart for that is what an enlightened being does!

      Chapter One

      Who were the Egyptians?

      The Ancient Egyptians were a unique people who lived in North East Africa and made permanent settlements along the Nile River. By 3000 BC, they were an organized society with rulers known as pharaohs and held power, wealth and knowledge yet unchallenged, in the Ancient world.

      Egypt went through stable periods of power and wealth and then declines of instability, war, famine and capture by conquering foreign enemies such as the Canaanites/Hyksos, Libyans, the Nubians, the Assyrians, Babylonians and the Persians.

      Yet at its peak, the Ancient Egyptians were masters of art, construction, medicine, social organization and paranormal powers. Yet over time, many of their psychic abilities, early history and contact with alien peoples has been lost and become merely considered myths and legends.

      Elements of their great power, beauty and special knowledge, can be simply found in their millennia-old buildings, such as the famous Sphinx and the Great pyramid. The magnificent pillars and ruined buildings at Karnak and the original flat-topped pyramid built for King Djoser, display their unique forms of building that went on to influence the distant architects of South America and far-flung settlements, around the world.

      A recent 80-ton statue of Ramses II has been unearthed in a slum in Cairo, displaying his timeless image.

      The beauty of their carvings, paintings and statues, such as the painted interiors of burial chambers, the classic bust of Queen Nefertiti and magnificent golden mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamen are still considered marvelous unique works of art today.

      They were educated, lively men and women who studied to understand their place in the universe, worship their deities and understand the workings of the seasons.

      The Nile River that gave them water for their crops, was widely considered a deity, in its own right and many colourful yearly celebrations were held on its banks. And as able boat builders and explorers, they sailed down the fertile rich, brown waters to the oceans and seas beyond to discover new horizons and trading routes.

      They had their own language and hieroglyphs to record their battles, messages and commodities lists. Their astronomers used mathematics and ancient telescopes to watch the skies and plot the stars in their cycles to predict the future.

      Their surgeons were famous for their advanced operations on the craniums of their injured or diseased men and women, removing bone fragments and alleviating pressure on the brain, called trephining. They were also known for their general medical practices and dentistry, advanced for
