About this ebook

Sweat dripped down Garnett's ribs to pool at the beltline. Coming home, back to his house and his friends and his former lover Kali, wasn't something he'd planned on doing.

But when home called, Garnett came.

Because Kali had changed since the eclipse of the falling moon. Garnett didn't know if it was his fault. It might be.

If so, Garnett would do whatever he had to to save Kali.

    Wings of the Dreaming Abyss

Sweat dripped down Garnett's ribs to pool at the beltline. His armpits were a swamp. So were the backs of his knees. He'd given up wiping his forehead within a few minutes of entering Athalia's workshop. There was no point to it. The sweat wouldn't stop until he escaped the sweltering heat and humidity of her dye work. Thick mud brick walls covered with stucco usually did a wonderful job keeping the heat of the day outside but in Athalia's workshop, it was the opposite way around.

She was the only reason he was here. Frankly, all he really wanted to do was go research new spells for his tattoos at home. After losing a large chunk of the power he'd gained so unwillingly from the death of the Ancient Goddess Elah Andringa, Garnett was anxious to make up for it.

His childhood under Gyanyu had taught him that.

I think I'm going to faint from the heat, Akuchi murmured to Prince Cyrille.

I think it's lovely, Prince Cyrille said.

A quick glance and yes, Akuchi definitely needed to sit down. He'd gone pale and clammy while Prince Cyrille looked as though he'd like to
