About this ebook

Book 1 of the Locator Series, Supernatural Suspense

What if you touched an object and could see the last three days of the person's life that touched it last? Demi Hagen can and this is her story.

They called her outcast, different, quiet. That is until they realized there’s more to seventeen-year-old Demi Hagen than meets the eye. Now, everyone in Elmer Point, GA calls her a hero. Her ability to locate missing persons just by touching a personal item has made her a local legend.

When she befriends a gypsy palm reader, online, they have an instant connection. But unlike Demi, Perci’s abilities are used to help her family raise money as part of a traveling act. Soon after agreeing to meet in person, Perci’s sister goes missing and she enlists Demi’s help to find her.

As Demi struggles to make sense of what happened, all clues lead in a strange direction. Can she see past the mixed messages and solve the case before it’s too late?

For readers who love books about ordinary people with extraordinary gifts.

    ––––––––

Hi, can I get a medium caramel mocha, please. The hot one. I said to the cashier. This was my first time coming to McDonalds in a week. And I really needed my fix.

The girl behind the counter stared at me for a moment too long before responding. Are you her?

Excuse me? As if I didn’t know what she was referring to.

The freckled face girl leaned forward. Are you her? You know...that girl that found that boy.

I looked around to see if anyone else was paying attention to our conversation. The guy behind me stood a little too close for comfort but he was busy on his iPhone to notice. I could satisfy her curiosity but wasn't in the mood for all the questions today. How much is my order? I asked as if I hadn’t been ordering the same drink every morning since the summer began. I knew exactly how much it cost but I was trying any tactic to redirect her questioning.

The girl let out a frustrated breath. Three twenty-five.

I held out the exact change.

Her gaze rested on my hand for a moment before returning to my face. How exactly did you do it? Like...you know...find him? Miss Freckles asked.

It’s complicated. And with that I slammed the money down onto the counter then walked over to the pick up side to wait for my order. This was my first time coming out of the house since the news article was published about me last week. I’d expected the attention. For pretty much my whole life I’d been the center of attention. That’s if you defined attention as bullying, name calling, and being stared at like you’re some alien on earth.

    But now it was different.

Now that my ability had become public, all of a sudden, I’m no longer a freak but a God send. I looked down at my hands and put them underneath my shirt out of habit. For years, I’d pretended to have a skin condition which required me to wear
