      Preface

      As every individual was introduced into this world, so would every individual experience the life thereafter life on the earth. What must I do to have eternal life? Is there really life after death? What happens to those who die? And what is going to happen to me when I die?

      These are questions every individual must think about. I believe one of the reasons why the Lord Jesus Christ put it in my heart to write this book is to have the ability to share the revelations, insights and understandings that the Holy Spirit has given me through my quiet times and through the years of learning from my father Bishop Dag Heward- Mills.

      I believe that as you carefully consider the wisdom in this book, may the Holy Spirit give you understanding so you will be able to make an informed decision about where you would spend eternity not out of ignorance but out of truths you have discovered out of the Word of God.

      It is my wish that you will encounter Jesus Christ personally and find salvation in Christ Jesus if you are not already saved as you read this book. If you are already a believer, that you will gain deeper understanding in your Christian faith, have a solid foundation in this subject and grow in your relationship with the Lord Jesus.

      Chapter 1

      What Is Eternal Life?

      And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

      Luke 18:18

      Eternal life is real and so is eternal death, heaven is real and so is hell, but what is more real to humanity is the reality of death; because it is with us daily. Life continues after death, and where you will live and spend eternity after your death on earth depends entirely on you, your decisions and the choices you make while you are yet alive on earth.

      So choose wisely……

      I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live.

      Deuteronomy 30:19

      14 Definitions of Eternal Life

      That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

      John 3:15

      The word eternal life is the Greek word aiōnios zoe which can be interpreted as;

      1. Perpetual life.

      2. Continuous life.

      3. Life without death.

      4. Life forever.

      5. Everlasting life.

      6. Absolute life.

      7. Lasting life.

      8. Life existing always.

      9. Endless period of life.

      10. Infinite life.

      11. Life without end.

      12. A place given to us by God.

      13. The gift of God to us through Jesus Christ.

      14. The promise of God to His children.

      The scriptures clearly states that there is another life to live after our lives on earth is done. Life is not limited by your existence on earth, there is another world to come; our Lord Jesus Christ describes this reality to his disciples.

      And Jesus answered and said, verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

      Mark 10:29-30

      Jesus Christ reveals in this passage of scripture two unique descriptions;

      i. The world to come.

      ii. Eternal life.

      It is also very interesting to note that in the world to come you can have either of two options;

      i. Eternal life.

      ii. Eternal death.

      One thing our Lord Jesus Christ assures us from this scripture is that His disciples are guaranteed eternal life in the world to come. Are you a believer? Are you are true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ or not? If you are, then you are assured of receiving eternal life after your life on earth is done. Hallelujah! Amen!

      If you are not sure whether you are a disciple or not then it’s very possible that you are not. Why do I say so? This is because the disciple is identified by three unique identifiers;

      i. His ability to hear the voice of Jesus Christ.

      ii. His ability to know and have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

      iii. His ability to follow diligently the Lord Jesus Christ.

      My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

      John 10:27-28

      A true disciple of Jesus Christ will receive eternal life and will never perish. Clearly the Lord Jesus Christ himself puts differences between disciples and non- disciples, between those who serve the Him and those who don’t and just put on a religious façade.

      From today, you can also become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ and be guaranteed of never perishing and also receiving eternal life. Become a disciple today!

      3 Unique Ways Of Becoming A Disciple

      1. Develop the ability to hear the voice of the Lord Jesus Christ.

      2. Develop a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

      3. Develop an ability to follow Jesus Christ by doing the works of Jesus Christ.

      Chapter 2

      21 Reasons Why You Need Eternal Life

      1. Because the other alternative is eternal death, eternal condemnation and eternal perishing.

      He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be condemned.

      Mark 16:16

      That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

      John 3:15

      He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

      John 3:18

      2. Because there is Judgement on this world and on unbelievers and the only way you can escape the Judgement of God is to accept eternal life through Jesus Christ.

      For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh
