To the Reader
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
(Jn 14:26)
First of all, let me say that I have not had any formal training nor attended a Bible School. All I know is that the Lord placed this study upon my spirit.
During this journey, there were numerous times when I felt totally incompetent and helpless. I felt my ability to do the necessary research, and the transcription of my thoughts, was lacking. I was afraid, at times, that I did not understand what God was trying to show or tell me. During these times; however, His Spirit would move me to prayer. Then, I heard His re-direction in my writing and wording.
I know there are things in this study where readers will disagree. Some may even think that I have overstepped the boundaries. I acknowledge this may cause a fence to be built
between me and them. However, without doubt I have been led to write what is contained within.
Whilst doing this study, I was awakened to the importance of standards. For standards play an important role in everyday life (e.g., business, church organizations, education, and international dealings). And they play an even stronger role in living a lifestyle that God demands. But this study is not about any church’s standard, what one organization may deem acceptable, nor a list of rights or wrongs. This writing is about understanding ONE STANDARD:
God’s Standard of Moral Purity
Therefore, I have expanded each of the definitions of sin to provide a deeper awareness. For only through a deeper awareness and understanding of God’s standard of moral purity will we be made perfect in Him, have total confidence in all we do, and make holiness our lifestyle.

I. Introduction
Now the serpent was more crafty [subtle, skilled in deceit] than any living creature of the field which the Lord God hath made.
(Gen. 3:1a; AMP)
In doing this study there is one thing that I found most intriguing. I did not find any mention nor any reflection that the idea of the original sins (i.e., transgression and disobedience) was the result of Eve’s experience (i.e., lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life) nor Adam’s disobedience to God that made sin predestined for all¹. It is not until the New Testament, where the Apostle Paul states that And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
(1 Tim 2:14) and Rom 5:19: For as by one man’s disobedience, many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be righteous.
I did not see any passages which indicated Cain’s sin was traced back to his father. Whist the generation of the Flood is described as wholly evil, there is no reference to sins being brought upon the world by Adam and Eve. The prophets, whilst they preached
