CHAPTER 1
TROUBLE STIRS
The coastal town of Happy Harbor sat on the northernmost tip of the Rhode Island Sound. The local townsfolk considered the Sound to be the perfect place to live because of its lush forests and thriving sea life. It was a quiet place where nothing much happened.
On this day, however, the opposite was true. One of Happy Harbor’s outer islands had become a smoking crater. A meteor had unexpectedly crashed, turning the tiny island into a fire pit.
