      Chapter 1: Understanding Your Puppy and the Pack Mentality

      To train your puppy you first need to understand how your puppy assimilates his surroundings and where you will fit in his social structure.  In canine’s the pack mentality is very real, even when they are raised by humans. 

      First you must realize that in packs there is always an alpha.  To your new puppy, you are simply a bigger dog.  Your puppy has the intention of being the alpha, and your puppy will do whatever it wants, in the belief that it is alpha puppy until you show it otherwise.  Being the alpha is not to you given it must be earned by you.  There are dozens of videos on Facebook that are perfect illustrations of how disobedient, destructive
