About this ebook

When Pan the satyr god seduced the moon goddess, Selene, he was not expecting a baby to be the result of a good tumble in the sack. Except, a baby girl is exactly what he gets.
Selene, Endymion, and Vexa visit Pan so that he could see his daughter. Pan is offered the chance to raise the child for the first four hundred years of her life. Selene and Endymion let Vexa go, believing that she will return to them long before she turns of age. Only, when it comes time for Vexa to be returned, Pan admits that his daughter will remain with him until her two thousandth year. Before the lovers can react, Pan dashes away into the forest, unable to be seen again.
Selene grows concerned when the world changing with the times, new religions being born, and followers becoming scarce. Her daughter's safety is a risk the longer Pan has her. She grows desperate in her search, catching Pan a few times before he slips away. What lengths will a Mother go to in order to protect her child from the very world she was conceived on?

    Chapter One

    Golden Age

There was no such date in which the world changed. This particular night was bright and clear. The air was crisp and the light of the moon caressed the land. People danced around the fires built within the city, their prayers, and offerings sent to the skies. Selene could feel this new age coming to its golden time, the time in which her strength came to its peak. She sent a saucy smile at her lover before shining bright upon their celebrations. The more they prayed and danced in her honor, the more she would be able to interact and bless them. The spread of the new religion was impeding on her and the other Grecian Gods, but they knew their followers would remain steadfast. The height of their power was at their fingertips and the new religion was still trying to gain a foot. It would be a few centuries before Selene should become worried.

This century was filled with the rising of temples and the gaining of new followers. Selene watched as a temple was raised in her honor. She might have been considered a lesser deity, but the act of raising a temple was nothing to scoff at. The moon goddess had enough followers that gave her the gift of being able to bless a select few. Those who were blessed became her High Priests and Priestesses. Having followers that worshipped and prayed to her gave her the ability to walk among them for short amounts of time. That was how many that dwelled in the eve after the sun had set knew her. She danced and sang with them when the journey of the moon was high in the sky. She swirled around the fire, her white and silver dress gleaming in the yellow-orange light.

The time in which things began to change was swift for the Greeks. The invasion of Christianity was drawing closer, but the Hellenic followers were remaining resolute. The lesser deities strove harder to keep their followers pleased and blessed, but the growing faith of the Christians was making such a task difficult. Selene remained the same, as her following had gathered quite the strength and the cover of the night allowed for them to go unnoticed, unlike the others in the Pantheon. Selene took the remaining time within the confines of the new generations of religion spreading, to instill faith and good will within her followers. She blessed many and continued to work with them as much as she was able. As the centuries continued on and the spread shadowed over the Grecian Empire, Selene felt the shaking foundation in the Pantheon. Heathens. Pagans. Devil worshipers. The whispers began in the later part of this century.

There was no stone left unturned when the Christians came sweeping through the countries of the world. The Christians spoke of the birth and death of a man who preached to them of their one true God. This was the time where the Grecian people abandoned their gods due to the fear of nonconforming. Secret celebrations in the night renewed their faith in their goddess. Many of the gods fell into
