It all starts in Courage when Vilda finds an injured dragon in a cave close to the settlement where they live. This kicks off a series of events that takes the three on a journey through the mountains to a village called Dragoncourt, the stronghold of a group of people who call themselves the Dreughan. They find out about an ancient prophecy, and slowly, they start to understand the secrets of the Dreughan.
In Susannah's story, Reason, the adventure continues when Keeghan, the golden one, the beautiful prince of the Dreughan is taken by the Waterfolk. There are traitors in their midst, but with the help of unlikely allies they continue their struggle to find a way to end the war that never ends.
Finally, Troy, the boy full of Joy tells his story, about family and trust, loyalty and betrayal - and about the prosperous times that will come when the prophecy is fulfilled.
The Dreughan trilogy can be read standalone, but it's also the starting point for Ms. North's Urban Fantasy series "Birds of a Feather".
