      When one thinks of a haunted house, they usually imagine a large old house in a dilapidated state, sometimes with an old ornate gate in front of an unkempt yard. There might even be a large dead tree out front for added atmosphere. Very few people would picture a little two bedroom house located in a nice neighborhood. But apparently that's why this house was so cheap. $9,000 was really cheap for a house, even considering the bad economy and housing surplus. And to Claire, well, haunted didn't really bother her.

      Usually these haunted houses got their designation due to explainable phenomena. One such house, the previous resident complained that their TV acted strange at certain times of the day with wavy lines appearing on the screen. When investigated, it turned out that a local ham radio enthusiast was the culprit. The FCC had a nice chat with him, and the haunting ceased. Few places that were reported to be haunted actually had unexplainable phenomena.

      Moving in seemed like it would be a quick affair. Her new house was located only a few miles away from her apartment. However she had been unable to rent a U haul and had to move everything in a van she managed to borrow. She didn't own a lot of stuff, her apartment
