Arrmon B. Abedikichi
Hi. My name is Arrmon Abedikichi and I am the creator of CreateNow.pub. I've been self-publishing children's books for over four years now. From an early age, I was always drawn to storytelling. I can remember the first time I picked up a Dr. Seuss book. I was so captivated by it. I always knew I wanted to create my own book one day. In highschool I was on the newspaper staff. I had my own column called "Mr. Citizen". It was a funny comic about an outrageous hero named Mr. Citizen that did good deeds for people. I would get so excited when the paper was released to the school each week. Flash forward 15 years, I'm still creating silly stories. Now I have two children and that's who I create for. Over the past few years I've become obsessed with self-publishing. It has not only been a hobby and passion, but it has also become my full-time job. This has led me on a mission to learn the ins and outs of self-publishing. I'm constantly tinkering and experimenting with new ideas and testing all assumptions. Over the past few years I've met and spoken with numerous people going through the same things I was a few years ago. They have great story ideas, but the whole process of publishing seems impossible. Well, I'm here to tell you it is possible. It is simple. And anyone can do it. You just have to know where to start and how to go about it. That's why I've created the blog, CreateNow.pub to share all my personal self-publishing experiences with you! It is my mission to help other creative individuals take their ideas, form them into amazing stories, and make their dreams come true by self-publishing their own books. Creating children's books is so much fun. It's brought me so much joy over the past few years and I want to share it with you. So now it's time to have some fun, relax, and let yourself be a kid again! Dream big. Be silly. And have a good time doing it. Chapter 1: Intro to Self-Publishing
The journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step.
–Lao Tzu
You have an idea for an amazing story, or maybe you are a great illustrator. You would love to create a children’s book and have it published, but deep down inside it just seems too overwhelming. You wonder if your work is good enough. You don’t know how to contact an agent or a publishing company. You don’t have loads of cash to invest in creating your book. You have no experience. Besides, you don’t know where to start or what to do.
Lucky for you, I have a simple and easy solution.
I’ve spent the past few years wrapping my brain around self-publishing, particularly children’s books. It has literally been my life. Not only has it allowed me to express myself creatively, but it has also provided income for my family and allows me to be my own boss each and every day. I get to work from home and play with my kids whenever I like. The good news is… you can do the same.
I started not knowing a single thing about self-publishing. All I knew is that
