Reviews for The Greatest Gift

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5After discovering that her husband Mark was leading a double life and was not actually her husband, Katherine decides to quit her job in the city and go find herself at the ocean for six months.
Katherine recreates herself, and becomes Kate, and for the first time in a long while, she feels "at home." Everyone at the island is very welcoming and supportive. Jaded by love, she finds herself pulling away from a potential relationship...especially after she discovers that she is pregnant with Mark's child. Who would want her? After all, she is carrying the child of another woman's husband. Her worries only build after she collapses and is rushed to the hospital...all her island friends are there to support her, her parents come to her aid from FL, and her brother rushes in from overseas. Kate learns that family is more than blood.
The store is reminiscent of Safe Haven. I enjoyed it very much.

Chapter One
Once upon a time, there lived a good king named Cornelius and his wife, Mariam. They had a daughter they loved above all and lived in fear that something terrible might happen to her. Because of this, Princess Brianna was forbidden from ever leaving the castle. For many years, she was content inside the castle walls.
As she grew, Princess Brianna spent many hours reading books about the world. Her bedroom, the highest room in the castle’s tallest tower, had enormous windows that looked out in every direction. She had seats in front of every window. Wherever she sat, she had the perfect view of the world around her.
If the princess looked North, she could see the green, foamy sea with its delightful dolphins diving in and out of the whispering waves. To the East, she could see the birds of the forest as they flew fearlessly from the colorful canopy of trees. To the South, she could see the meadows where the goats grazed and flowers flaunted their beauty in the glory of the golden sunrise. And
