About this ebook
‘The Malice was entertaining and riveting, with almost never a dull moment. … Do yourself a favour, buy this book. And the first one, too, if you don’t already own it. You will regret nothing.’ – Geeks of Doom
In the south, the Breach stirs.
Gamma’s sword, the Malice, wakes, calling to be taken to battle once more.
But the Vagrant has found a home now, made a life and so he turns his back, ignoring its call.
The sword cries out, frustrated, until another answers.
Her name is Vesper.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I want to like this series a lot more, but I just can't. It feels like there is a story here that should be so much more than what I'm reading, which is frustrating. Instead, we get a lot of what feels like filler until Vesper gets to the breach, which is over way too quick. Another reviewer put it best by saying "It's almost like things just happen in the book and you're like 'umm okay is that it?'"
I'll read the last book in the series just for completion-sake. I'm hoping it will be a great ending to it all, but I'm not very optimistic. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Thoroughly enjoyed this second volume, that develops the story brilliantly with a nicely different protagonist in Vesper (plus kid) (and Duet) (and sword) and takes us into the past of The Breach. Looking forward to The Seven.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I do not like when characters just change on me. The Vagrant was not gay in the first book. Why is he and Harm now sleeping in the bed together and all that? Why is Vesper about to save the day. Give me a break. All these alien entities that big men trained had so much difficulty with and she just closes the breach. .... ok. Hmmm.
