About this ebook
This illustrated gift book of short comics illuminates author Debbie Tung's experience as an introvert in an extrovert’s world. Presented in a loose narrative style that can be read front to back or dipped into at one’s leisure, the book spans three years of Debbie's life, from the end of college to the present day. In these early years of adulthood, Debbie slowly but finally discovers there is a name for her lifelong need to be alone: she’s an introvert.
The first half of the book traces Debbie’s final year in college: socializing with peers, dating, falling in love (with an extrovert!), moving in, getting married, meeting new people, and simply trying to fit in. The second half looks at her life after graduation: finding a job, learning to live with her new husband, trying to understand social obligations when it comes to the in-laws, and navigating office life. Ultimately, Quiet Girl sends a positive, pro-introvert message: our heroine learns to embrace her introversion and finds ways to thrive in the world while fulfilling her need for quiet.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Cute, easy read and relatable. I just found it repetitive.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Very cute. It caused me anxiety to see this girl struggling. I wanted to tell her to stop caring what other people thought and just do what she wanted.
I'm glad with the way it evolved ♥️ - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The most relatable book ever?I recommend it to all introverts❤️

I loved this one also.
It really described the life of introverts! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Perfectly explains an introvert's life. It also gives hope for one to embrace his/her eccentric nature as long as it means no harm
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow. I can see myself as I read this book. There's a pleasant and warm feeling as I learn more about the main character. Loved it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Totally loved it, relatable, felt like reading about myself, great read
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Why I Read This:
1) The title attracted me, I just wanted an escape from the noisy world.
2) I wanted to see what a quiet girl is like.
3) I was in a melancholic mood. (╯_╰)
In General:
It was a pleasure. (~_~) I know I would subscribe to this if it were a Webtoon.
As much as I liked the content, I only related to parts of it; as I'm an extrovert. But it was eye opening and taught me to be a bit more prudent with my (at times) overwhelming sunny (or crazy) energy. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ If I'm interacting with an introvert. (^_^)"
... Actually... I'm not sure about that. My introvert friends accept my extrovert...ness and I adore their introversion. And we're good friends. Ah well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'll just make sure to check their energy levels. (^~^ )
My Experience:
It was hard for me to read on my smartphone on the Scribd app. The pages were so small. I couldn't enlarge it, or read it panel by panel. I was squinting a lot. (-_- )'
I know I'll definitely reread this, but on my laptop (next time), so I don't struggle with the page/image sizes.
Opinion:
Just delightful. (o^▽^o) Would love to have a physical copy.
I think it/this would make a great gift to INFPs (that enjoy reading). So that's a tough call. They are a rare personality type (I'm fortunate to know one), adding reading to that requirement might make it even harder to gift. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I wanted to love this book. I deal wit social anxiety and self doubt but I found it extremely hard to relate to the main character. I’m not exactly sure why but I just found her so out of reach for me and I’m not sure why.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's a sweet and funny read. Tbh so relatable. It felt nice reading the original thoughts of an introvert, without altering. Really loved it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A cute and relatable book to an introvert person. I definitely can relate to the whole scene.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Honestly, it's eerie how much I relate to Debbie and the scenarios of her life. But it feels good to know you're not alone in what you're feeling.
Anyway, introverts this one is definitely for you! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh my, what a wonderful book. This really is so comforting and friendly and relatable. Wow.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Perfect. Certainly made me feel a bit better about myself, and I will buy and give to others.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I feel like Debbie Tung has been spying on me and reading my thoughts. This was such a delight to read. The author managed to show an introvert's inner thoughts and she did it in a way that made me laugh and nod in agreement. If you are an introvert you will love this book! If you are not an introvert, but love someone who is, this is a good like at the way we introverts think.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book gives introversion a bad reputation. The author is learning how to have some boundaries by the end but she has a way to go to learn to not identify with her social anxiety affliction.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book is so cute!! I related to that all the time!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I swear! No other book is more relatable than this.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So cute and nice book about one subject .. kind of memoir.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5me senti completamente representada nessa graphic.
além de ser muito bonito, a gente sente um quentinho no coração por saber que não estamos sozinhos e que é completamente normal a maneira que nos sentimos. ♥ - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was an adorable comic book and a super quick read.
It is a sort of non-fiction memoir about the author's life and her struggle with being an introvert and wanting to do something that brings meaning into her life rather than just mindlessly going to work and engaging in small talk. Slowly she finds ways to deal with her social anxiety and accept herself.
Both the art and the way the snippets are presented were really sweet and as an introvert myself, I found it deeply relatable. If you are struggling with being an introvert or you have someone in your life who might be going through it, give this book a chance.1 person found this helpful

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This graphic novel illustrates my 30+ years on this planet perfectly, even though I didn't have a name for my awkwardness until recently. Recently meaning that I have only come to realize that I'm an introvert during the past couple of years. I wish this book had been published much earlier so that I would have known that I've found my tribe. The book is wonderful and I loved the artwork.
