35 Delicious Paleo Slow Cooker Recipes - Jena Staples

    Soup

    Introduction

The Paleo diet is our ancestral diet. Our ancestors lived longer and healthier lives because of their nutritional lifestyle. They ate fish and meat, nuts and seeds as well as organic fruits and vegetables. However, agricultural revolution brought about the introduction of grains into our diet. Grains contain anti-nutrients which makes the process of absorption into the gut rather difficult. There are people like me who find it hard to digest grains. Grains contain some anti-nutrients which act as an evolutionary strategy to protect its integrity but this protection has a tendency to harm the body.

The Paleolithic diet gives you an opportunity to practice a moderate diet and enjoy incredible results. The nutritional content of the first Paleolithic people can be acquired from the recipes present in this book. We can now eat like our ancestors and not worry about the condition of our health.

Grains, legumes, sugar, alcohol, processed foods are completely eliminated from your diet. Using your slow cooker, you can eat like a modern day cave-dweller and start to look and feel healthier. Slow-cooked recipes also help in eliminating kitchen mess.

The Paleo diet works so well because it enables you to watch what you eat and what you don’t. It helps you to change the components of your diet as well as eliminates foods that encourage fat storage, blood sugar problems, slow metabolism and slow digestion.

Follow the recipes in this book and reap the health benefits. These paleo ingredients are readily available in health food stores, grocery stores and farmer’s markets. You can now come home to mouth-watering slow cooker meals, made with chicken, beef, vegetables, sea food and more.
