    In the near distant future, wars are no longer fought by human soldiers: they are fought by Artificial Intelligence. But nineteen years ago, the A.I turned against the people they were created to protect. They claimed the world as their own and locked the surviving humans six-hundred-feet below the ground in the Pit. But today is the day Reyna will escape it. Today is the day she will find out the truth of what the A.I have done to the world since they stole it.

    "The Day of Reckoning" is a sci-fi dystopia short story about being blind to the truth and asking who is to blame for the outcome of war.
