"Poetry lifts the veil from the hidden beauty of the world, and makes familiar objects be as if they were not familiar"..............Percy Bysshe Shelley

    The Author

Winsome Miller-Rowe could easily be described as a Renaissance woman. She is a highly respected medical doctor specializing in care of children, an accomplished musician, composer of music for the soul, poet, videographer, humanitarian, and profound lover of nature, a wife and mother of three extremely focused young people. It could be because she was born in what could be Jamaica’s version of the Garden of Eden that she writes this beautiful collection of soulful poems.

Winsome Miller Rowe thrives on beauty because it is in her DNA , touching every sense ...visual beauty through her videography, tactile beauty through her interaction with her faithful patients, aural beauty through her finely tuned musical ear. Well... olfactory.. and sensory...she speaks in her poetry of the seductive scents of nature as she meanders out into her gardens, at either her Montego Bay or Runaway Bay, St. Ann homes.

Her earliest years were spent living in the surroundings of the beautiful Hope Gardens where her family was based, her father being one of Jamaica’s leading agriculturalists. She grew up in one of the most lush areas of Jamaica, St. Ann, where she now owns a home in the hills surrounded by foliage and plant life. Bienvenido, which translates into the word Welcome, is the name given this sprawling home, which, like a choice fruit in a beautiful fruit salad, sits as it does on rolling grounds above a sweeping green valley.

Dr. Miller-Rowe also composes music and creates videos with nature scenes for relaxation and uses them in her medical practice to enhance healing.

The themes for her poems are eclectic, wide
