About this ebook
At Customs on her way home, Maggie is routed into secondary inspection. She’s got a lot of stuff, but nothing too surprising for someone who spent a year teaching in Korea. One agent in particular is making her feel like a criminal and the only thing she has going for her is the cute guy she bumped into on the plane who stays by her side for no reason she can see.
Jake has wanted to see Customs catch a drug smuggler since he started ferrying car part prototypes back and forth to Japan. This could be his lucky day. Or Maggie might be the innocent kindergarten teacher she claims to be.

Chapter 1
Maggie collected her second bag from the luggage carousel. How was she supposed to get two large suitcases, one bulky carry-on and one computer bag through Customs and to the next gate by herself? Whose genius idea was it to make everyone collect their bags before Customs anyway? And who made sure there weren’t enough carts? But she was almost home and that counted for a lot. One more hurdle.
Across the carousel, she spotted the guy from the airport in Japan. Tall, broad-shouldered, dark brown hair and matching eyes. Jake Harrison? How did Jake manage to look so neat and rested after the eleven hour flight? He looked just like he had getting on the plane in Narita.
When they called for boarding, he’d negotiated with the staff to let a couple of elderly ladies board first. On the plane, he’d gallantly held the door for Maggie into the tiny coffin of a bathroom, which reminded her she needed another bathroom, but there wasn’t one in sight.
Strapping the bulky carry-on to one of the big cases, Maggie draped the computer bag around her shoulders and joined the herd of humanity headed for U. S. Customs. Customs in Korea had been a snap. Three uniformed Koreans collecting little forms without looking at them, instead of three harried looking officials poring over passports as they dammed a tide of harried travelers. Plus, she’d had a cart, and her friend Karen for company.
