Essential Oils, Aromatherapy And Your Kid
Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds that are found in plants. They are extracted from a large variety of aromatic herbs by steam distillation or cold- pressing. Since they are aromatic compounds of the plants from which they are extracted, they retain all the healing qualities of the mother-herb. Consequently, they are about 70 times more powerful than herbs. Although they are called oils
, they are in fact a liquid and do not feel oily at all. They are highly concentrated, extremely powerful, richly fragrant, safe and without side effects.
Essential oils are used for aromatherapy, which is the art of treating diseases with herbal essences. Aromatherapy dates back thousands of years. The ancient people discovered that aromatic compounds in essential oils have direct effect on their mental, emotional and physical health.
