Precious Gems from God's Word - Blake Mullins

    You Have Value

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. ~ Matthew 10:31

I was so blessed today. I took a load of metal, that looked like nothing more than junk, off to the scrap yard and found that even though it was some things other people had discarded, it still had value!

Maybe you are at the place, where others have discarded or thrown you away. Maybe the devil is telling you all you are is a has been, and that your best days are behind you!

The devil is a liar and so are your circumstances. You still Have Value! He invested His Son for you. *John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ~ John 3:16

    God’s Mathematics

Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; ~ Isaiah 43:16

Have you ever noticed when problems come, many times we look at all the facts and figures and try and see if it will all add up?

Then, if it seems to be missing something, we lose heart and think that there is no way for our miracle to take place? Simply because it doesn’t add up. But everywhere I read in the Bible, I see God can work out our issues and bring a miracle out of it. Even when it doesn’t add up.

I mean just think about it.

Abraham and Sarah were too old to have a son, but God made it possible.

Job lost all his wealth, his children, and his health but at the end, God blessed him with twice as much.

Lazarus was dead four days and Jesus was still on time.

Then in Matthew 14:17 there was a great multitude than needed to be fed and only five loaves and two fish were available. But it was enough, and twelve baskets of the fragments remained.

Maybe you are facing a bad situation. Maybe, you’ve looked at all the facts. Maybe the devil is lying; saying give up because it can never work.

Be encouraged. Know that as long as you have the Lord, He is all you need to turn that very situation around.

How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight? ~ Deuteronomy 32:30

    You’re Not standing Alone

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. ~ II Timothy 4:14-17

Think about it! The Apostle Paul has just come through a battle and he gives us valuable insight.

In verse 16, he says; at my First Answer no man stood with me. Maybe that’s the place you are in right now. You feel like no one is standing with you either.

But as a child of God, you must remember though it may be hard right now and friends and family may have turned away from you, God will stand by you.

It may be hard to see at first because we tend to focus on those who have left us or never joined us to start with. When that happens, we can feel victimized or even bitter.

But Paul got past it and you can too!

    He said, Notwithstanding.

In other words, in spite of all that was against him, it wasn’t over.

And it’s not over for you either.

Because not only did the Lord stand with him in spite of it all, but he said: He strengthen me.

The same God who strengthened Paul wants to strengthen you too!

If you jump ship and abandon Him, He cannot strengthen you.

Sometimes out of hurt, we try to cut our losses because others have hurt us. We build a wall and sometimes hurt those who love us by trying to do it to them before they do it to us.

But, this too shall pass. Hold on to God and let Him turn this test into a testimony. You are not in this alone! His name is still Emmanuel, God with us, God who is with you.

    Just Lay It Before God

And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness. And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. And Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod. ~ Numbers 17:7-9

You know I thought a lot about Aaron’s rod. How plain; how common at first glance, but it had a purpose. Even though it looked dead, it had great potential.

Sometimes I think when we listen to the murmurings of others or feel bad about our self, we forget that God can do anything.

Too many times, we search for answers outside of the will of God. When all along, God is just wanting us to lay it before Him in His presence. He
