Foreword
When I joined Everton in 1987, I realised pretty quickly that most Blues know their history and enjoyed being tested on it. This has been proved to me many times in my years on local radio in the city, and I can confirm the Blues are far more knowledgeable than their Red counterparts! I also enjoy being quizzed on my football and sporting knowledge and this is put to the test when I face my former Liverpool rival Gary Gillespie in our weekly challenge on our popular BBC Radio Merseyside show Snods and Diz .
Therefore I was pleased to be asked to contribute the foreword to Never Mind the Toffees 2. There’s plenty of stuff in here that even I wasn’t aware of, like when I scored in the game that had the lowest top-flight attendance in history! Having said that, hopefully all the questions give you a chance of an answer so I hope you enjoy the book.

But the most exciting development was the arrival of Farhad Moshiri at the club in February 2016 – the businessman providing the funds that will hopefully give Everton a golden future to match our glorious past. Not surprisingly, there are more than a few questions to test your knowledge of the club over the past four years. Elsewhere, the book has made no effort whatsoever to change a
