      As I think of all the women who inspired me and had a profound impact on my life, thoughts of my deceased mother (Lorna Yvette Nicolls) and sister (Erica Nicolls-Johnson) rush through my mind. This book is in memory of those two beautiful, strong-minded/willed women. Their outspokenness and tell it like it is bravado influenced how I view life. 

      I remember how both of them were always there for other women of all ages and ethnicities. They were not shy about discussing any topic, be it sexual relations, church, religion, family life or simply parenting. Mom and Erica were advocates for doing the right thing and speaking what’s necessary even when the situation left them on the defense. 

      They are my superwomen. The life lessons I have learned from them have prepared me for writing this book. It takes courage, motivation, persistence and believing in your abilities to fulfill your dreams. All those qualities and a lot more are what I saw in my mother and sister. As a result, today I’m a better father, husband, advisor and advocate.
