      Incredibly challenging, well-written and it gets to the heart of a modern progressive’s wrestle with Paul. The beginning of the book gives a disclaimer that you won’t necessarily come to like Paul more, which is true for me to a certain extent. But it definitely helped me understand him more. I would urge any Christian to read this, even if you’re a staunch Paul supporter. It unpacks so many of the most crucial moments in the New Testament and explains what is really going on, for Paul, his audience, and us as readers centuries later. I have no doubt this is a book I will keep coming back to again and again in my journey of faith! Many thanks to the authors for doing the legwork and making this aspect of the struggle more accessible.
