About this ebook

Whip Your Knitting into Shape

domiknitrix \ da-mi-'ni-triks \ n, pl -trices [US, var. of dominatrix, re: knitting] (2005): a woman who dominates her knitting; broadly: a badass knitter

You have knitted your last bad piece. Let the DomiKNITrix show you the ropes. Yes, it may be painful to take the time to knit a gauge swatch, count stitches and fix mistakes. But just think of the pleasure you'll get when you knit a gorgeous, perfect sweater with no holes and no uneven stitches.

Learn the rules or else. Inside you'll find a no-nonsense, comprehensive guide to essential knitting operations and finishing techniques, including step-by-step instructions for all the basic stitches used in the patterns in the book.

Get your hands dirty. The book features over 20 spicy projects to satisfy any knitting appetite. For a Knitting Quickie, choose from one of the smaller projects, such as the Mohawk hat or the popular Snow Devil cap. If you want more of a challenge, try the L'il Red Riding Hoodie or the Big Bad Wolf icon sweater, The Slink or City Coat.

Easy to follow instructions, and some very cute patterns. I can't wait to finish the mohawk hat.

I loved this book its one of my go to I need help or inspiration knitting books. If anyone asks for help this is the book I point them to. While the projects might not be to everyone's taste the things that each project teaches are what make this book so very valuable.

(As a side note I have the physical copy of this book,)

    Little bit gothic for me.

While the patterns in this book look great, the book was poorly edited. I am almost done with the Swizzle Vest and was very disappointed, not with the final garment, but with the directions for the pattern. I found that the directions for the two front pieces (usually labeled right and left) are labeled as if you were making two right side panels even though one of them is angled for the left. Also, it’s a line by line pattern and line 33 is missing from the direction for the left (or as its labeled, right) front piece. (Granted it's easy to figure out where the increase is, but that's not the point.)The models used in this book are also extremely skinny and small chested (I think one of them actually has a concave chest) making you wonder what the pieces look like on a woman with something as huge as a B-cup.
