Creating Textures in Pen & Ink with Watercolor is an invaluable reference book for urban sketchers, naturalists, illustrators, and fine artists alike. Though it does not include any step-by-step demoes, it is packed with tons of quick tutorials on creating various textures. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars out of 5, is that I don't think this makes a great digital book. It is very hard to read some of the tutorial pages, as it is written in a thin flowing script, and it's difficult to zoom in on the words (at least on Scribd desktop). That being said, I grabbed this book on Scribd for the sheer purpose of previewing the book before I decided to buy a physical copy. Now I'm hooked on Claudia Nice, and plan to preview every last one of the books available. If they're all as high-quality as this book, I'm going to be stocking up on the physical books for my own art library!
