- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Here is Claudia doing what she does best: writing compendium books that pertain to specific rendering techniques. To be clear, if you're looking for a beginner's how-to-draw book, or a book full of detailed step-by-step demonstrations, this is not the book for you. This is a book that is perfect for the intermediate urban sketcher or fine artist who wants to draw buildings with realistic texture. The book is all about how to get that final textured-look for your drawing, and provides several examples and explanations. I highly recommend it for your library if you want to go out and sketch the city or a neighborhood or even old barns! That being said, I recommend you grab a physical copy. The copy here on Scribd is like many of her other books on Scribd--the captions are written in a thin scrolling font that is almost impossible to read. And, at least on desktop Scribd, there is no way to zoom in and look at the text closer. Thankfully I just use Scribd to take a good detailed look at my art books before I buy a physical copy. So I'm pretty satisfied with what I've seen here and will be adding this book to my physical library soon!
