I love the Southwest (that's why I'm out here), but this feels like it appropriates indigenous cultures in many of its patterns, considering especially that it's written by a white woman. If using this book, I would stick to patterns reflecting the landscape, but the best would be to opt for patterns by indigenous people of the region.
