The Creation Story
––––––––
The creation of the earth and what we see today had a particular beginning, and this is how it all happened. Before there was anything in the gigantic Universe only God existed, and we don’t know anything about what He did and didn’t do. What we know, however, is that God wasn’t lonely, scared, or confused, but rather He had a great plan to create the Universe, the planets, people, places, and things. And this is how God did it. In a certain time frame God created the heavens and the earth.
God decided to create Heaven first because it would be the home for Him and His angels where they would be extremely happy and would never die, get sick, or even sad. God used the breath of His mouth and suddenly out of nowhere Heaven appeared in splendor and beauty, and most importantly God saw that the creation of Heaven was good. Heaven was made out of pure gold and other shiny precious stones.
God, however, saw that He didn’t want to be the only one in Heaven because He wanted messengers to inhabit and do work there. So God created angels in abundance, in all if humans could count the total number of angels then they would probably give up because they were so many. The angels were created with a different face, height, ability, intelligence, and hobby. No two angels were alike, neither did they have the same name. Some angels could do greater things than others, such as play music, sing, dance, create things, and even speak different languages.
In truth, the angels in Heaven had extraordinary powers, but they all worshiped God and gave Him glory. God created some angels that others looked up to as role models, and they were Lucifer or Belial, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel. There were other angels, but these were called archangels. Archangels are first in rank. This meant God had given them leadership over the other angels in Heaven. The most powerful of the angels was Lucifer or Belial, and he had great wisdom and musical skills. He liked to play music, but he also liked to worship God. Michael was skilled in the angelic army and he was their army captain. Gabriel was God’s scribe, and he liked to deliver messages to other angels from God, and he would later be one of the chief messengers to human beings on earth. Raphael stood in the presence of God both day and night, and that was his job. Uriel was huge and he looked scary, but he was very friendly to everyone.
God decided to continue with the creation process, and He thought in His heart to accomplish it in six days. So God created the Earth in which we now live. The Earth as how we see it today wasn’t all lovely or even attractive, rather it was barren, dark, and a great ocean covered everywhere. God saw this, so He walked upon the ocean and shouted out, Let there be light!
When God said this it became bright everywhere. God saw that the light shone everywhere, and that it was good to look at. Then God separated the light from the darkness, and he called the light Day, and the darkness Night. Evening came and then morning and it was the first day of creation of the Earth.
God went back to Heaven. The next day God continued His work on Earth, and He commanded that the excess amount of water should be turned into the clouds and skies, and it was so. God then called the place where the clouds and skies were Heaven. Now all this took place on day two, and God saw that it was good. God as usual after he finished work went back to Heaven.
The next day God commanded the dry land to appear, and it appeared. He called the dry land Earth. The remainder of the water on Earth God commanded it to be made into different seas, rivers, and lakes, and it came into being. Now God looked on the Earth and saw that it lacked many things. And God said, Let all types of grass appear, the plants for medicine, the fruit bearing trees of its species, whose seed is in its fruit.
When God said this, it suddenly was done. God looked around and saw it was good. Evening and morning were the third day, and God went back to heaven.
When God had started to work on His creation there were no lights to distinguish day from night. So God commanded different kinds of light to appear everywhere on both Earth and the Universe. And God said, Let there be different lights on the Earth and Universe, and let them be for festivals, seasons, days, months, and years. And let them be as guides for the Earth, so that everyone will see them.
God created the sun, moon, and also the stars. The sun was made for the day, while the moon and stars gave light in the night. This was the fourth day of creation, and God was
