It follows the fair from its groundbreaking to its end, capturing the spirit of that time. It gives the background and history of the fair, from the men who worked to build it, through the opulence of its many buildings, to its closing days. This well-written book with its variety of photos allows readers today a sense of what it must have been like to have visited that fair.
