Perry Mark Stratychuk

Perry Mark Stratychuk (born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Canada) is a filmmaker, writer, musician, poet, and actor. Described in a review as a "natural artist", he is a director, cinematographer, and producer in several movie genres such as experimental short film, music video, and documentary. Along with writing bizarro fiction and poetry, Perry creates strange "outsider" artworks, and can be heard forging eclectic electronic / experimental guitar music for soundtracks and albums as a Canadian electronic drone music pioneer active since 1981. Perry currently resides in Chengdu, Sichuan, China with his wife Sayda, and miniature Schnauzer Aboo.

Tour of Time's Edge - Perry Mark Stratychuk

TODAY IS FRIDAY THE thirteenth. Good things always seem happen to me on Friday the thirteenth. People always think it's the unluckiest day of the year. Hell no. Not me. Listen, you were on that short admissions tour, weren't you? Did they tell you we've got eleven hundred more in the underground level here besides the thirty three hundred above ground?

Yeah, I know, they always leave that part out. Probably because they don't want to attract any more negative publicity than they already got.

I've heard it's pretty damp in the sub-levels, and with no sunlight. They don't ever want to admit that it's just as crowded in these facilities as the ones outside.

Just the same, this is one of the better automated storage facilities for the aged, you know. My daughter was sure glad when they announced these affordable spaces for people like us. She pays my rent here.

    Did I mention that?

She had twins on the way when I left. She just got a second husband who took up my old space. That one room of hers got pretty cramped. I was glad to be out of there.

    Really, I was.

    Don't you believe me?

Those overalls look great. No. don't thank me. I never quite liked the way they hung on me, anyway. I
