      If I did emoji book reviews it would just be the sobbing face. Like the majority of Ms. Cosway's books, this one grabbed me by the heart and absolutely wrecked me; thank goodness I can immediately start reading the second book in the series. I kind of saw the ending coming but hoped that I had guessed wrong.

      I appreciated the way that Ev, Sam, and Dylan progressed from the beginning of the novel to its conclusion; their journeys were believable and made me vividly remember that time period in my own life.

      I didn't read this book's description before I began it and I won't read the second book's description, either, so fingers crossed that I enjoy that one at least as much!
