    It’s been said: “Parting is such sweet sorrow”. Well, that depends in large part on who you’re parting from. Sometimes parting can be simply sweet without the sorrow! It can be more of a "good riddance" without the customary parting hug. "Saying goodbye to self" would qualify as the latter. This I know is true from personal experience: If God and I have a problem, I am the problem, always!

    I believe when it comes to the topic of "faith" it's important to know the heart of the writer you are reading. Hence, a little insight. If you've perused my writings I trust you have noticed that I'm an unapologetic non-conformist thus not religious per say. In fact, my greatest concern in life is to be summarily dismissed as a "religious person". My preference? A "real person" serving "a real God" who "really loves" THE WORLD. From day one of my sojourn with God it's always been a "real or nothing" mindset. I couldn't imagine any other way to approach the journey. Admittedly, never perfect and often awkward, but that has been and continues to be the narrow road I travel. At 27 years of age Jesus literally stole my heart. I did not join a "Club". I fell in love and entered the "Kingdom" of my Lover. To me, that was as glorious and serious as it gets! While my writings may not adhere to the status quo at times, I do hope at the very least they provide stimulation for serious contemplation. Blessings to all. Bill Taylor

      Pre-Requisites

      Repetition, for all the good that it provides, can also lead to the diminishing of our sensitivities towards what should be alerting truths imputed by Christ for our own long term well-being. How easy and dangerous it is to develop a habit of offering a passing nod of acknowledgement to the massively important total content in our Lord’s teachings without as much as a pause for serious personal evaluation. Therefore, we can over time, become accidently comatose to the cautionary red flags found in God’s word while carrying on as usual, with these seriously profound non-negotiable inclusions exiting our minds with the greatest of ease.
