About this ebook
When heiress and billionaire Savannah Collins walks away from her wedding after catching her fiancé in the act with one of her employees, she thinks she's free of him. He doesn't see it that way, so her father hires a bodyguard—one she never expected to see again.
Marek returns from his latest assignment in Mexico eager for his next job. The interlude in Cancun, where a strange woman saved his butt, was merely that, he thinks. Until the next assignment that is.

Women strong enough for love. Donna writes science fiction, paranormal and small town romances about women coming into their strength and having the courage to find and accept love. Now that she has retired from going into an office every day, she created an office at home and writes full time. Talk about living the dream! She was the girl at the party who was yearning for the quiet corner and a book to read (go Rory Gilmore!), and has been writing in her head since she learned to read. Getting those stories down on paper (or in her laptop) has been more fun than she ever imagined it could be. The possibilities of science fiction have always drawn her and she's read them all, there just needed to be a little more romance in them. She finally got up the courage to write them herself and is delighted to be able to share these stories with you. She is a member of Romance Writers of America, the Fantasy, Futuristic & Paranormal Chapter of RWA and the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers. Cancun Memories
Chapter One
Rising from the platform bed facing the ocean, Savannah dug her toes into the cool sand and parted the gauzy curtains, then stretched and looked around. The incredible view included an ocean that couldn't be that color blue. She'd forgotten anything could be that blue. The breeze that lifted the hair from her face also seemed to be lifting the numbness that had surrounded her for the last couple of days.
This certainly wasn't the vacation she'd imagined when planning the trip to Cancun. She was glad she hadn’t caved and invited any of her friends to join her, or gone to the private villa Dad had offered. Yes, she needed some alone time to recuperate and regroup, and definitely reevaluate, but having people around her, other than staff, helped.
A movement caught her eye as a tall stranger moved into what shadows the large palms provided, and look around. He wasn't dressed for the beach, and she could tell he didn't want to stand out. Nice body even fully covered, better than anyone else out here. Not that she’d bothered to look.
He spotted something she couldn't see and tried to melt back into the shaded area. That wasn't going to work. He couldn't hide out here on the beach; it was too open. An unexpected impulse caused her to discreetly wave him over. She didn't want to raise her voice and call attention to him, but he noted her and moved in her direction.
In here.
She pulled the gauzy curtains closed behind him. Lose the clothes. Hurry.
For a wonder, he followed her instructions, shucking the shoes and yanking the t-shirt over his head. She watched as the jeans lowered from his narrow hips and stifled the impulse to lick her lips. Maybe she wasn’t completely numb after all.
That left him in boxers, obviously not a bathing suit. Savannah stuffed his clothes under the body pillow. She peered out from a gap in the curtains caused by another breeze. I think they're coming this way.
Two men, also overdressed for the beach, had entered the area.
Lie down.
She reclined beside him, tossing her colorful beach towel over his boxers. He rolled to his stomach and buried his face in her collarbone. His scruff tickled slightly and she squirmed closer. She closed her eyes, breathing in the masculine scent of her stranger. Nice, and all him, no cologne to override his natural scent.
He still hadn’t spoken.

Marek had no time to think about what was happening. He couldn’t be taken in now, and this strange woman had given him the break he needed. He’d think about her actions later. For now, lying here against her soft body was too good to pass up. The fact that she’d saved him was a nice bonus.
She didn’t appear opposed to cuddling either. Skin on skin with a woman that looked like she did was never a hardship. Well, except for one part of his body.
Why had she done this?
He forced his body to relax as one of the men hunting him peered inside their sanctuary. She played it perfectly, not speaking, only signaling them not to wake him.
The man they searched for wouldn’t be nearly nude, resting on the beach with a beautiful woman.
Chapter Two
Savannah never did anything like this. What impulse had caused her to act? But maybe taking a stupid chance was just what she needed to reboot her life.
When the curtains twitched, she opened one eye and brought her fingers to her lips in the universal gesture of quiet. The official, he obviously was something official, nodded an apology after scoping the nearly naked man beside her and moved on. She closed her eye again and cuddled in.
After a few moments he whispered, They gone?
Haven't looked.
He chuckled, which seemed to encourage her grin. Think you could?
In a hurry?
Not really.
His hand smoothed up her back causing sparks to fly, at least in her imagination. She sat up and peeked through the curtains.
Still there but not much left for them to look at. Maybe they'll move on.
Hope so.
Just for the record,
she paused. Did I help an innocent guy or a guilty one?
Well, I'm not exactly innocent, but I'm not guilty of what these guys are after.
Intriguing.
She looked him over again. Damn, he was the stuff of dreams. He hadn't looked bad in the clothes. Without them he was incredible. He had to be six foot two. Even in heels she would fit under his chin. Broad tan shoulders tapered down past the
