About this ebook

A ruined castle in the distance. Too small for a king or duke. Probably home to a baron or count. Before the Uprising.

No nobles anymore. The emerald isle in the hands of clans, raiding each other’s cattle.

The wizards, all gone. Their memory alive in men like Mitom. Riding the land on his piebald gelding. Deadly with the stick of holly at his side.

“Wandslinger” – an imaginative short story of fantasy adventure that twists the American Wild West with the cattle raids of Irish and Scottish myth. Cú Chulainn meets Wild Bill Hickock, blended into one gruff hero! By Stefon Mears, author of Twice Against the Dragon, With a Broken Sword, and the Cavan Oltblood novels.

And if he wasn’t mistaken, he could see people setting camp. Maybe a dozen or so.

That meant food. Mutton maybe. Or beef.

But could he trust these people?

Could he go another day without food?

Mitom checked the holly wand in the sheath on his belt. Wouldn’t do to ride up with it drawn, but he wanted it ready. Chances were good that none of them were wizards, but better safe than dead.

No time to waste then. Folks were always a little more eager to meet strangers while the sun was shining. He
