About this ebook

The McBride series can be read as stand alone novels. Join Ash Steven McBride as he journey towards his path to forever.

I'm a straight A student. Hot and sleek with women. They call me the King of Orgasm and pussy eater. I loved women. I loved to party and of course, I loved to f*ck. Who doesn't? And I've a successful career and thick wallet and a thick dick. You wanna bet? Come in my bed!

But hey, karma's a bitch. I finally found the right girl for me. The woman I'm crazy about. The woman I wanted to be with forever. But f*ck, she's my best friend. Yeah, I hear you. I was put to friend zone. And hey, she's not even interested about relationship and family and sweet shit like that. She's busy with her career and being pretty so she could continue counting men in her bedposts.

Told you, Karma isn't something to be played with. Now I'm suffering with blue balls and painful jealousy over her sexcapades with other men. I wondered what lengths I'd do for her to see that we fit?

But alas! She wanted sex with me. But I wanted more out of it. I wondered if I could change her thoughts about marriage? And kids? I hoped she says yes, coz I can't wait to give her a good shagging until my baby's in her womb.

(Very far of a leap, isn't it?) I love reading books, romance, comedy, fiction and real-life stories. I love my pillow and my bed. Hence, I love sleeping. I love my privacy and enjoy the moment imagining things, plot my personal novels. I love writing poetry but avoid sharing them to others because it'll be too much of an open book of my life. I love to study people from the distance (not a lurker nor a creeper), just enjoying their interaction is all. I love to travel. I love my family and friends. I don't have a pet. I secretly love to write. I love to hear comments from you if you've read my books. I love to explore. I love to mentally wander. I love loving. I'm just that girl. The world has been full of hate, let's go and spread love around the globe.

Another semester has opened and I'm already at my fourth year in college. Hopefully things would go smooth for me and I'd be graduating this year. Well, it's not really the end of school for me by then since I'd be proceeding to take on law. I'd like to be a part of the legal team in my father's company. A lot of people might think it’s lame for me to work for my father but for me it would be an honor to be working for him.

The McBride Group of Companies or MGC was a legacy. It had been running in the industry for generations since my grandfather. It helped a lot of people, not just financially but also on their health and relationship wise. My father may not be working in the office anymore but he was still being called for business related advises. Besides, Jace McBride still owned almost of the company’s share.

Not to mention my mother who also owned shares, being the legitimate heiress of the McBride. But Clarissa had little to none interest at holding any responsibility in the company which by the way wasn't a big deal to anyone. She's an artist through and through and very much compassionate when it comes to her painting. It was her happiness and stress reliever. We wouldn't want to take her away from that or there would be hell to pay as what our father would say.

I was early for my first subject but it didn't matter. I'd like to be calm and poised on my first day in school, not like those other students who were running late and panting once inside the classroom. What can I say, I'm a serious straight A student, after all. I didn't want to mess up. It's not because I was a son and heir to the McBride fortune, I'd go relax about it. It wasn't how we were trained and taught. In fact, our father drilled in our heads that we need to be deserving of the title before we could even call ourselves true McBride heirs and heiresses.

I took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to yawn. I’ve been here sitting on one of the benches near the entrance for almost an hour, watching the people both faculty members and students bustling around the campus. I took a glance down my wrist watch, relieved that I’d be waiting a little more for my first subject today.

Another batch of people rushed inside the school premise. I watched them squeezing through the gate, some looked harassed, others seemed to have just woken from the bed and came straight to school. But one particular person took my breath away among all the faces that my eyes caught. She just came in like a floating fairy in my dreams. She's beyond beautiful that I couldn't find a perfect adjective to describe how she looked like. I believed I've never seen her here because if I did, I would have noticed her before.

With my heart galloping like crazy beneath my chest, I stared in awe at the lady who entered the gates in heaven -- I mean the campus. She was so dreamy, so fucking surreal. Like she was floating in slow motion and everything seemed to be in pause around us. It was stupid and cliché but it was exactly how I felt at the moment. She was wearing jeans and white frilly shirt, really plain to be even calling her out a hot chick, but she was obviously turning heads without even trying. Men and women alike seemed to be caught at her allure.

And hot damn! Another head that's part of my anatomy also turned into her direction. Suddenly, a picture crossed my mind with her beneath me, naked and sweaty, panting and writhing, accommodating my girth in her luscious body. That picture surely sent thrills to my spine. I followed her with my eyes as she stepped up into the short stairs and disappeared into the lobby. Until then, I started to release my breath which I didn't notice I was holding.

I stood up and chuckled to myself as I felt my legs wobbled. Wow! How could a mere sight of a girl give me such impact. She better be something. I walked inside the school, deciding to head first towards the comfort room to relieve the sudden discomfort I felt under my pants. I wasn't about to stroke my dick, no. Maybe a little splash of water on my face would help me calm my nerves again.

The line in the toilet was long which I didn't expect it to be since it was early and the fact that it was a male comfort room to that matter. I still fell on the queue and plucked my phone from my pocket to check on the screen. I missed a call from my sister P. Three messages in my inbox was waiting for me, one from P who was asking me to pick her up later after her class and another from my mom who was only too eager to cheer us her children for our first day in class and then another from Rip, my old buddy last year.

I dialed my sister's number first, worried of her safety which had something to do about her going missing when she was about fifteen years old. I didn't want to think about it anymore because it would only bring blood to my vision. She answered on the first ring.

    Hey pumpkin.

She snorted which was so unladylike. Really, Ash. You're like dad now.

What's wrong with calling you pumpkin? You're adorable like pumpkin. I teased.

Pumpkin is a vegetable and I eat them not because they're adorable. I don't even know why people call them that. Are you going to pick me up later or what?

Gee, stop acting like a bully. Remember, you're a lady now so you better behave like one.

You’re not answering my question. She said impatiently instead.

OK, alright. I'll be there after my classes. I'll call you then. Such temperamental-- what the! Hey! I frowned when she just hung up on me.

Really, P? Where's the love for the big brother? When I shove my phone back to my pocket, I noticed some students were staring at me including the one standing outside the women's toilet door. The same girl I saw earlier with a dreamy aura and perfect face. She was more beautiful this close and I didn't know how to react. Not because I was a shy guy but I was just caught off guard with her presence and unabashed gawking.

Habitually, I pushed my glasses on the bridge of my nose and averted my eyes back to the line. I watched her at the corner of my eyes as she slowly waded through the throng who fell in queue and passed by in front of me. My heart literally jumped up my throat as I smelled her scent – floral, minty and a touch of erotic. I didn't know how I figured it and I wasn't even sure if erotic was an odor but it just fits to how she smelled. I swallowed hard, trying not to look her way because I didn't want to be labeled like a dog salivating over a tasty meal just like how the guys around me were doing to her right now.

The first classes went smooth but I didn't saw the pretty lady again. I went towards the Administration building where my sister's classes were. She's in the music room as usual playing the fiddle which was her favorite pastime. Even if she made us believed she no longer played the instrument after that incident three years ago, we knew she couldn't turn her back towards music. Just like how Blue and our mom couldn't get rid themselves of their paint and easels.

I didn't knock, afraid I would break the spell P was in while she played. Leaning against the closed door, I contented myself at staring at her through the glass door while I wat until she’s done.

    You're waiting for someone?

I turned to the sexy voice that spoke behind me. I barely stopped myself from gasping my surprise upon seeing who was the curious body. Now, now, why would heaven allow us to meet once more?

Uh, yeah. I glanced back to the room and noticed P had returned the violin into the shelves, preparing her things to leave.

The pretty lady followed my gaze before looking back at me. Ah, I see.

She smiled and I thought ridiculously the sun just shone in front of me. The door opened and came P with a frown on her face.

You're late. P snapped looking at me and to the new girl then back to me again.

I could only imagine her mind starting to roll with stupid assumptions. I just know how my sister and all my siblings’ minds worked. Because I also thought the same way they did.

I didn't say what time I was coming.

You made me wait so long. There will be retribution! She declared.

I almost roll my eyes at her for being dramatic but I held myself. Hey, my last class just finished. If it's up to me, I won't let you wait.

I have to yell that answer at P’s retreating back when she started walking. I followed her only to stop when I remembered the girl witnessing our banters.

Hey-- I'm sorry. I looked back to my sister who was walking so fast I would probably miss her if I dawdle.

No, it's fine. Go ahead. She waved her hand dismissively.

Yeah right. I'm Ash by the way. I really need to go. Uh... I didn't catch it earlier, what's your name again? I offered her my hand.

It was a sly move, I know. But I have to know if angels owned names.

I didn't say my name. She answered knowingly.

Her eyes sparkled with merriment that I have to hold my breath at how ridiculously beautiful she looked. Well perhaps, angels didn't give away their names.

OK, I'm Bridget. She took my offered hand with a chuckle and my heart went overload with that simple touch.

Ash! We both turned to a frowning and obviously annoyed P before smiling to each other afterwards.

Nice to meet you, Bree. Can I call you Bree? I guess, I'll see you around then. Goodbye for now.

Her brows raised in amusement before she nodded. Yeah, sure. Nice meeting you, too.

I dashed towards P and walked beside her outside the school. She whipped her head to study my face. When I turned to face her, she was already looking straight ahead.

You liked her, brother. Just like all the other guys. P told me in a singsong.

Am I that obvious? I glance at her but she just snorted her answer. Hey, I'm not like the other guys.

Yeah? What makes you say that? She dared.

Because I'm not going after her. She might as well be coming after me. I smiled to myself with my cockiness.

Let's see about that. She sneered like she already knew the outcome of my fate.
