Not interested with serious relationship, she went out with friends to drink and party and even tried out some coke. And soon she met a guy she thought would be a perfect partner to lose her V-card and at the same time try out the "fun" people have been pushing her to do.
Little did she know that she would have the biggest surprise of her life upon knowing what the man did and who he really was and what more he's capable of doing. And Sean will do just about anything in his power to win Scarlet over. Even if he has to use his magic tricks up in his sleeves.

(Very far of a leap, isn't it?) I love reading books, romance, comedy, fiction and real-life stories. I love my pillow and my bed. Hence, I love sleeping. I love my privacy and enjoy the moment imagining things, plot my personal novels. I love writing poetry but avoid sharing them to others because it'll be too much of an open book of my life. I love to study people from the distance (not a lurker nor a creeper), just enjoying their interaction is all. I love to travel. I love my family and friends. I don't have a pet. I secretly love to write. I love to hear comments from you if you've read my books. I love to explore. I love to mentally wander. I love loving. I'm just that girl. The world has been full of hate, let's go and spread love around the globe.

    PS:

To my readers, in case you're wondering about the lines that were written in bold font at the top of every chapter. It's actually taken from one of my favorite books of #KATEDICAMILLO author of The Magician's Elephant. Funny how this book inspired me to write Serendipity. Credits to the great author, she's one of my favorites.

    PROLOGUE

    SEAN

If we only had a choice, I'll never want you leaving the fort. I want you beside me all the time. We're brothers after all. His solemn face was turned away from me as he gazed outside the wide window, looking outside the vast property we owned. He owned.

As you've said, we got no choice. I'll have to do as what father wishes once and for all.

He paused for a moment just studying the horizon with his sorrowful eyes. Between the two of us, it was me who should be wearing that sullen face. But I knew better. I'd never trade with his position. Ever. Finally, he faced me with his hands inside his pockets.

I envy you, brother. For you will now have the luxury to do as your heart wishes. You can go places and discover the globe as you desire. Must I add that you'll no longer be obligated to follow the boring standards people expect us to say and do? He expelled a deep rueful breath. I am tempted to go with you.

Don't be stupid. He will certainly look for you if you went missing. As for me, I doubt if I can even make it on my own out there but I will definitely try and die trying.

We both turned at the presence of Dillon just outside the door. The carriage is ready for you, sire.

Sire? I repeated with a bittersweet smile on my lips. I think I no longer deserve to be called as such, Dee. Turning to my brother once again, I held out my hand for our final goodbye. We may or may not see each other again, duke. I wish you all the grace of a good leader in the name of our ancestors, may you become a good shepherd to the people in the estate.

He took my hand and grabbed me inside his arms. His sob was cut short as he swallowed it, denying himself a moment of weakness.

I wish you all the grace, too, my brother. May you become a good member of the flock and may you have a wonderful journey as you leave this place, in the name of our great ancestors.

I clapped his shoulder one last time never glancing back as I turned to leave with Dillon behind me. Finally, I stood beside the carriage and waited for his last instructions.

The carriage will only send you outside the estate, from there you'll be on your own. Dillon quickly averted his eyes from me to hide his tears. I will miss you.

    You don't have to.

He snapped his eyes back at me. What do you mean?

Don't you get sick and tired with your life here, Dee? You can always come with me. I held my breath because I was honestly hoping he'd be tempted to agree.

I was more than scared to go out on my own in the world. If I could turn back time, I'd still do just what I did which made my father decide to banish me from his empire. What I regretted was I never get the chance to defend my side. But then again, I knew he'd never listen to anything I have to say anyway.

People would probably envy my life back then, a son of the great Stephen of Eymere. You could name anything to me that would be synonymous to rich but it all boiled down to one word. Privileged. At least to the outside world, I was. But no, I wasn't. I always come short. Should always come short over my brother, Keith.

You know I can't leave Stephen. Dillon finally spoke, pulling me back on the here and now. I promised. I took an oath before the clergy and swore in the names of our great ancestors to serve him until my last breath.

I almost sob at his words. Poor Dee. He didn't choose his fate, yet he was trapped with his sworn promise he also didn't had the choice. I nodded in silence before expelling an audible breath.

Then I shall leave now. I eased inside the waiting carriage but he stopped me by my arm.

Take this. Dillon handed me a small bag which I was certain carried golds inside but I pushed it away from me.

No. Stephen was firm with his order that I should only be taking the stipulated amount he said. Nothing more. As if an afterthought, I turned to him again. I'm sorry, Dee, if you're torn with these events. I'm sure I'd be missing you as well.

Do not forget all the things I taught you. They'll help you as you journey with your new life.

I certainly will bring them with me wherever I go and make the best of them with the people I meet. Thank you. I tipped my hat and ordered the valet to drive me off from the place.

Every hop of the horse’s hooves took and every distance the carriage gained, my heart felt heavier and more painful that I could barely breathe. What would an eighteen-year-old like me do in this big world alone with nothing in his possession but the clothes on his back?

I admit, I regretted my life and everything that went with it. Being privileged was never a gift, it was a curse. And now the curse has been cast down on me, making me miserable and scared. I looked back to the fort, a very imposing castle of the blue blooded people. Once upon a time, I lived in that nest. Now, being a nobody, I must find a new home.

At the end of the century before last, in the market square of the city of Baltese, there stood a boy with a hat on his head and a coin in his hand. The boy’s name was Peter Augustus Duchene, and the coin that he held did not belong to him but was instead the property of his guardian, an old soldier named Vilna Lutz, who had sent the boy to the market for fish and bread.

    Hey, Scary!

I was snatched from my premature immersion of the current book I was reading after hearing the stupid name directed to me, followed by unabashed laughter. I took my time gathering my composure before taking a deep breath, slowly showing my always ready smile before turning to face the no-gooder girls in that campus.

    Hi. Did you call me?

The four bitches all turned to each other, smiling evilly as if they were talking with their slanted eyes. I never learned their names. I didn't care. They didn't matter after all.

So next week will be our graduation ball, huh. Do you have something to wear already? Bitch one asked.

I smiled timidly for the act, closing the book with conclusion that I wouldn't be able to read it anymore with these pestering bitches surrounding me.

I actually haven't thought of it yet. But I honestly decided not to go, I was tempted to add.

Oh poor, Scary. Don't worry, since I'm nice, I can accompany you to look for your dress. That’ll be exciting, won't it, girls? The rest of the bombshells hailed their approval.

I don't know. I shrugged my shoulders. I'm really grateful for that but I really can't afford to relax right now since I haven't finished my duty hours, have you? I asked, referring to the number of hours required for us to volunteer in the hospitals as our final requirement.

Gosh, Scary. You shouldn't be thinking of that anymore. You know our parents can cover those things, if you know what I'm saying.

No. I can't do that, my father will kill me. I insisted.

I've heard rumors of these kind of students who financially covered up their grades just so they could attend graduation ceremony. Now the rumor has lived.

Okay then maybe we can go check a new night club in the city later. We heard it was really sick. We'll pick you up at seven.

I frowned. I still can't. I promised mom to have dinner with them tonight.

It was a lie. Someone in their group made a disapproving sound.

"You know what, I'm actually starting to think you're trying to avoid us. Are you avoiding
